In the Diocese of Hamilton, Confirmation is normally received at age 12-14.
Confirmation for Children attending Parish Schools
For children in Grade 7 attending St. Michael, St. John, and Our Lady of Peace, sacramental preparation is done by the school in collaboration with the Parish.
Confirmation for Children not attending Parish Schools and are in Grade 7 and up; attending public or private schools are required to attend 5 – 6 classes of sacramental preparation, a Confirmation Retreat and Rehearsal at the parish.
You may register at the parish office or email the parish for a registration form.
Once you have completed the form, please bring it to the office with a copy of the child’s baptism certificate and payment of $35 in cash or cheque during office hours (9:00am-4:30 pm.) Confirmation is usually celebrated in November.
